If you are a cool hunter and spend vast amounts of time searching for the coolest stuff available, chances are that you have stumbled upon a Lego style design. But I don’t mean a model or object made of Legos. I mean something that has been inspired in Legos. Sounds crazy, but believe it or not, there are a lot of stuff designed in a Lego style.

A couple of weeks ago I compiled a list of 20 Cool Photoshop, Photography and Design Twitter Accounts You Should Follow for my Photoshop Roadmap Blog.
The post was a big success and I decided to make a more design and art oriented version for this blog. These accounts are very active and are sending tweets every day about illustration, art, industrial design, decor, designer toys, design in general, and even job posts for the design community.

Some time ago I gathered a list of 100 Exceptional Free Paper Models and Toys that was quite well received by the readers of this blog. The amount and quality of paper craft models available for download is amazing. Chances are that anything that’s popular and geeky, has already been converted into a paper craft model.
Since Star Wars is both extremely popular and absolutely geeky, then it is not a surprise that loads of paper craft models are available on the web. Just follow the links and download the models. Beware, some these models are somewhat difficult to build. Imagine the first person that ate a shrimp. That ugly little creature from the sea ended up to taste so damn good. On the other side, consider the poor guy who first tried some stunningly good looking, bright red, little fruits hanging from bushes only to find out that they were deadly poisonous.
It clear that both shrimps and poisonous red berries didn´t have a product test before being exposed to the humans, just like we have today with consumer products.
This article gathers a group of 15 useful and enticing conceptual designs that for several reasons may never reach the production stage, but may set a trend and definitely make us wish they really existed.

These gadgets are so cool that they will make you drool in desire. Sadly most of them are prototypes or simply concepts, but sooner or later somebody will put them into production, hopefully.
The big question is how far would you go to buy any of these. None of these gadgets or decor items will ever make it into your shopping list. And that’s what makes them irresistible.

Retro design is like creative candy to our eyes. The correct recreation of the most successful and representative styles from the near past can end up in a design that can both usable and decorative at the same time.

One of the best free stuff Graphic Designers can find on the Web for free are high resolution backgrounds and textures. Long gone are the days when you had to buy very expensive CDs in order to obtain good quality backgrounds for your design projects.
By that time, marble and granite textures were all the rage. But now it seems that paper is becoming the new king. Lots of Web Designers are embracing the delicate look of a piece of paper with a subtle shadow. And if it is torn or folded, much better.
